The Junior Premier League, the global governing body of the JPL, is aware of recent developments relating to a competition that has been operating in Australia.

The JPL has built its reputation internationally on strong governance, high standards and a clear commitment to player development and genuine pathways to the professional game. It is important that any competition operating under the JPL name upholds those standards and delivers the quality of competition and opportunity that has become synonymous with the brand.

As of today, there is no formally authorised Junior Premier League competition structure operating under the direct governance of the Junior Premier League, in Australia. Following a review of the current position, the Junior Premier League is working to ensure that any future activity associated with the JPL in Australia operates under an appropriate and properly authorised framework aligned with the global league’s governance and standards. Up to this point, the Junior Premier League has not administered club or player registrations or collected participation fees in Australia.

From this point forward, our priority is to ensure clarity for clubs, players and families and to protect the integrity of the JPL brand.

Further updates will follow in due course.
