The Junior Premier League (JPL) is delighted to announce the continuation of its partnership with Playermaker, a leader in wearable sports performance technology. Since the partnership began, JPL players have used Playermaker devices to gain a better understanding of their game, improve their performance and access game-changing opportunities in football. Earlier this year, JPL players who use Playermaker were invited to Manchester City FC and given the chance to showcase their ability in front of scouts and performance staff at the City Football Academy (CFA), with a number receiving incredible recognition. Events like these, highlight the JPL’s commitment to working with companies who create tangible opportunities for our players to showcase their talent and who can help accelerate their development on and off the pitch. This season marks the next step in the partnership and coincides with the release of Playermaker 2.0. The latest product includes the Targets feature, which gives players personalised weekly goals based on their own data, helping them stay consistent, measure progress, and focus on key areas of improvement tailored to them. As part of the partnership, JPL and Playermaker will be celebrating top-performing players with weekly leaderboards and a Player of the Month award for those using the technology.
“Our partnership with Playermaker is about helping equip JPL players with the tools to help them reach their potential with data growing ever more influential when it comes to scouting and talent identification,” said Martin Brock, global chief executive of the JPL. “We’re proud to be able to offer our players opportunities like one at Manchester City which helps them showcase their skills, gain recognition and build experience. Our vision has always been to create a league where data is at the heart of player development and this partnership helps us take a step closer to that being a reality.”
“At the JPL, our belief has always been that talent is everywhere, opportunity is not and partnerships like this show we are truly committed to delivering on our promise of giving our players the chance to go as far as their talent and tenacity can possibly take them.”
“We’re proud to work with one of the leading youth football leagues in the world,” said Shani Sofer, Marketing Manager at Playermaker. “Together with the JPL, we are helping young players build confidence, understand their development, and access exciting football experiences.”
As part of the renewed partnership, JPL members can access an exclusive offer: Playermaker 2.0 for £149 (valid on yearly membership only). This ongoing collaboration continues to strengthen the JPL’s commitment to providing meaningful development opportunities for all players. Grab your kit here.

About JPL & JPL WARRIORS

The Junior Premier League (JPL) is an elite youth football league built on player development, innovation, and opportunity. Since our foundation, our mission has been to provide every young footballer with a truly premier football experience, whether they are starting out in grassroots football or progressing towards the elite football pathway. Now more than 11 years strong, the JPL has grown from small beginnings from England’s largest national junior football league to the worlds biggest youth league, with over 60,000 players competing every season globally from Under-7 to Under-18. We are proud to stand apart as a league designed to bridge the gap between grassroots football and the professional academy system, helping 1 in 11 players progress into an English professional academy. JPL WARRIORS has expanded globally, with leagues now operating in the USA and Qatar, and is the fastest growing girls-only football league in England. It features high profile clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Arsenal, Manchester United, Liverpool, West Ham, Crystal Palace, AFC Bournemouth, Manchester City, Derby County, Leicester City, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and AFC Wimbledon — along with many other top-tier girls’ teams that meet the league’s elite standards. JPL WARRIORS host a tournament series that includes teams from Bahrain, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, and Oman.

About Playermaker

Playermaker 2.0 is a smart football tracker system that uses sensors strapped to the player’s boots to collect detailed performance data without relying on GPS. It provides insights into both technical aspects, like touches, kicking speed, and foot usage, and physical metrics, such as distance covered and sprints. This data is analyzed and delivered to the user via a smartphone app, helping them track progress, improve their skills, and share results with coaches.
