Opportunites At Rushall Olympic FC Youth Development

Opportunities at Rushall Olympic FC – Youth Development.

Following a very progressive season off the field with the developments of the new 3G facility at
Dales Lane, Rushall Olympic FC continues to progress with its youth development programme with
opportunities available for talented players and coaches aiming to bridge the gap between local
grassroots football and EPPP in the professional game.

To support our future ambitions, we are now looking to further add teams to the section
commencing in the 2020/21 season, filling the gaps as we make year on year progress to have teams
at all ages in both the boys and girls game.

The youth programme also has opportunities for players at various age groups in our existing teams
as we commence preparations for next season.

If you think you have the potential to play or coach at the highest level of football development
outside of Professional Academy football, become part of a progressive non-league Football Club
and wish to train and play at our 1st class facilities in 2020 / 21, please get in touch.

Representative Team Trials Announced

We are delighted to announce our Representative Team Trials for the forthcoming season 2019-2020

Over the past 5 years we have had a number of parents and players ask:

“What is the Representative Team Program and what does it mean?”

To be involved in the representative team during any season year is an honour and privilege for those players selected. Next season the league will have approximately 15,000 players in it. Therefore, any player selected is in the top 2% of players in that specific age group.

The aim of the program is to provide the players in the league with a high-quality experience at some of the worlds best academies and hopefully create a pathway for them to develop, improve and eventually progress to one of those academies. Failing that, we hope that these players leave us at U16 and progress into an education pathway that has a strong footballing program, where players have the opportunity to play within the National League and at other semi-professional levels.

In the 2016-17 season, 40% of players signed professional contracts and over 60% had a trial at a professional club.

The selection process for the Junior Premier League Representative Team is a 4-step process.

The process starts at the end of the season, where the staff team start to identify players who have impressed them throughout the year as well as those who are in the top goal scorers and awards list.

Throughout the summer we will then host a variety of trials to provide the players ample opportunity to demonstrate their abilities. The program for 2019/2020 is:

1. Open Trial (Summer)
2. Manager recommendation trial (Summer)
3. Selection Camp (October Half-Term)

By having an open and manager recommendation trial we feel that this gives as many players an opportunity to be part of the rep teams as possible.

After the selection camp, players will receive an email explaining the program and what is expected of them throughout the season.

All players selected for the Representative Team will be offered the opportunity to attend an international training camp at Worldwide Renowned Academy; in October our current Rep Teams will be visiting Real Madrid.
