The aim of the Herefordshire Regional Talent Centre is to provide progression, opportunity and challenge to all players and coaches. We have created a unique opportunity for players to experience an academy like system in a fun and holistic manner.
We aim to be the best by playing and training with the best.
The Herefordshire RTC trains at two venues firstly at “The Ranch Pitch” at St Weonards in the beautiful rural back drop of the “Wye Valley” in Herefordshire and in order to protect the pitch during the winter months at Haberdashers School in Monmouth. The Centre itself is run by the hugely respected Andy Bevan, who holds the prestigious UEFA A Licence and is currently First Team Coach at Westfields FC in Hereford. Andy has a fantastic resume in junior football coaching working at both Cheltenham Town FC Academy and (Formerly) Hereford United FC when they were a full time Professional club, during these 4 years working at 16/18’s level, 23 players under Andy’s guidance achieved 2 year professional scholarships, of which now 1 is currently in the Premier League and 2 in the Championship.
Our RTC can truly be a great pathway to many local Professional clubs with links currently being forged by the JPL team to maximise the opportunities for our players.
The Regional Talent Centre’s main aim is to create an environment where the children develop their footballing talent as well as developing as an individual. There is a large focus on developing the technical ability and tactical awareness of players through the training and games programme. Furthermore, using the latest software from HUDL players will be able to analyse and assess their performances during games and training.
Coupled with the Performance Analysis, players will be exposed to sport science, sport psychology and a Bio-Banding Assessment.
If you would like to challenge yourself and would relish the opportunity to be part of an outstanding coaching environment please contact Andy Bevan on:

Mission Statement – A player associated with ourselves is engaged to learn and develop. A young player associated with RTC will be embraced by a culture of learning. We desire that all players are happy, content, enthusiastic and dedicated. The RTC provides a welcoming environment, which is professionally structured to offer the opportunity for young players to thrive and gain success. No one can reliably predict the future for any young player, but we hope that when a player leaves the RTC, at whatever age, he will be able to reflect on his association with the RTC as being positive, worthwhile and fruitful.
Our Role – “RTC experience for potentially Elite players, developing the person in equal measure to the player.”
Our Vision – To be one of the leading Football Clubs renowned for a strong association with its community and a long tradition of developing young talent that plays football the ‘Right Way”.
Our Programme of Development – Encompasses renowned methods of development originating from Brazilian, Dutch & Spanish Academies.
Herefordshire JPL RTC’s provision encourages players to be footballers first, play with freedom, opportunity to express themselves, without fear and providing a framework to encourage decision making.
