Welcome to the Junior Premier League Cup Competition for Season 2018/2019.
We would like to explain how our Cup Competitions work as we have 3 segments to our knock out phase.
Every team is entered into, and starts in, the main Cup draw and will either get a first-round game or (due to numbers) a bye.
Those teams that play a first-round match and lose are entered into the Shield knock out phase which proceeds as a normal competition and culminates with a final in May 2019.
Those teams that had a bye in the first round of the main Cup draw or who won their first round match then play in the second round and the losing team from this round is entered into the Trophy knock out phase which again proceeds as a normal competition and culminates with a final in May 2019.
All remaining teams in the main Cup draw then continue to the third round draw and it is a straight knock out from then on with a final in May 2019.
The Trophy and Shield competitions are also straight knock out.
Semi finals this season will be played at the first drawn teams venue.
Finals are in May for all competitions and venues are to be confirmed shortly.
All knock out competition phase matches are played over 2 periods rather than our normal 4 periods. This is in line with FA competition rules but more importantly for us provides a slightly different learning experience for the players and coaches.
We wish all of the teams the best of luck in the competitions and look forward to the Finals in May 2019 as they are always great occasions featuring some of our very best teams.
