Match Report

Birmingham City under 15s..1 Stoke RTS under 15s..3.

Period 1

A close game where Stoke were mainly on the front foot with Birmingham not really creating any chances. Birmingham's defence stood strong until a lack of concentration allowed a long ball from Stoke to arrive in the box and the forward held off a challenge to make it 1-0.

Period 2

A fiercly fought period that became a midfield battle with both sides giving their all.The flow of the game was not helped by refereeing decisions that constantly stopped play. period ended 0-0.

Period 3

Birmingham began to ask more questions of Stoke and had the chance to equalise but penalty was missed. Birmingham then fashioned a chance that was crashed in by Ra'Marn Thomas - Joseph to make the score 1-1. More chances were created but not taken so period ended with the score 1-1.

This was much the same as period 3 with Birmingham pushing for the win but found the Stoke keeper on form who made some outstanding saves. Late in the period another long ball was not dealt with by the Blues defence and Stoke capitalised to make it 2 -1 and then finished off the game when the Stoke forward turned the Blues defender to slot home.

Final score Blues under 15s..1 Stoke RTS under 15s..3.

We wish Stoke all the best for the rest of the season.
