Match Report

Evesham United U15's 'v' Cirencester Town U15's

Both teams went into the game boasting a 100% record, but it was the visitors who left with that record still intact with a 6 – 1 victory.

Both teams took time to settle in difficult windy conditions, but it was Evesham who took the lead in the 13th with a patient build up from the back allowing Reece Davies to drive forward before playing a ball up to Ilvius Murati who flicked on to Reagan Martin who took a touch before firing a half volley past the keeper. The lead only lasted until the 16th minute with Cirencester getting back on level terms when an intended back pass to the keeper fell short allowing Bilal Durdu to round the keeper and score into an empty net. It was de-ja-vu in the last minute of the half as another back pass failed to find the keeper allowing Durdu to round the keeper again and score into an empty net.

The 2nd quarter was a more tight, tactical battle but it was Cirencester who finished the strongest and scored late on when an inch perfect pass was played in between the home defence to Jamie Ash who smashed the ball above keeper Harvey Lloyd giving him no chance.

The 3rd quarter saw Cirencester score 2 further goals, the first by Charlie Mccrae who found himself completely unmarked at the back post and the second by Matthew Ashman who finished neatly after 2 Evesham players had failed to deal with a long ball from the goalkeeper.

Cirencester scored the final goal of the game early in the 4th quarter with Durdu completing his hat-trick.

It was a bad day all round for the home team who did not get going at all during the 80 minutes but credit to Cirencester who took their chances and deservedly left the Jubilee Stadium with all 3 points.
