Match Report

Last minute goal end cup thriller

the form of the two slides couldn't have been any more different as BCS hosted unbeaten Yate Town. Form went out the window as BCS dominated the first have scoring two quality early goals through Danny Macy and James Black. The away team clawed one back through a bizarre decision from the referee to give a handball as the keeper kicked the ball out. The subsequent free kick was scored and arguably against the run of play Yate were back in the game. The away team then ramped up the pressure creating many chances to score, hitting the woodwork and looking dangerous. A deflected pass fell nicely for Yate on the turn and the ball bounced over Ollie as it struck the floor and rebounded over for the equaliser. Both teams then went for the win, creating great chances at each end and with the game in the final minute, and the game looking as if it was going to pens, which at that stage would have been a fair outcome, a rogue ball wasn't cleared and the shot was sliced beyond the stranded keeper to give Yate a win. A shame for the home side, great determination by the away side but a classic cup tie all the same. A great club, great coaches, parents and players Andy we wish them in their quest to stay unbeaten good luck.
