Match Report

WHU v Rushden and diamonds

Tooday we welcomed Rushden and Diaomonds to Essex for a Shield Trophy game to battle it out for progession into the final stages of the competition.

The stage was set for a good game of football from two keen and professional looking teams.

West Ham got the opener on 10 minutes with a perfectly placed corner from Callum Fisher. The corner confused the opposition and with the help of Sammy Keys being a nuisannce in an attempt to get on the end of it, the ball was bundled into the net, fantastic corner and hustling skills from the two West Ham players to get the opening goal.

The home team created more chances as the game went on and played some great football.

The away team also had a few chances and played some nice football, forcing the hammers into some good defending and Jack Castle  made some good early saves to keep the diamonds out.

The hammers went on to score 5 more goals and secure a victory, well done to both teams and thanks to Rushden and Diamonds for travelling down.
