Match Report

Cirencester Town 4 RTC Buckinghamshire 0

Cirencester welcomed Buckinghamshire to The Corinium for their 1st encounter.

On a blustery morning both started brightly and both teams wanted to get the ball down and play.  With the teams being pretty evenly match it was Cirencester opened the scoring when the ball got headed out from a Ciren corner Joah Hall hit a unstoppable shot from the edge of the box. Bucks didn’t have a reply in the quarter.

In the 2nd period Bucks were finding it hard to clear their lines playing into the wind and Cirencester took advantage of this when Matty Ashman slotted the ball hone when it rebounded back out. Cirencester were gaining confidence with this good spell and capitalised with a 3rd goal with a good switch of play and Otis Lewis who got in behind the left back to beat the keeper at the near post with another good strike.

Bucks were still in the game and played some good football to try and break Cirencester down. But it was another good move from Cirencester when Otis Lewis delivered a great cross into the box for Reegan Messenger to hit a side foot volley home.

Credit to Bucks they kept going and made Cirencester keeper Ben Creighton pull of a great save. But Cirencester defence were Determined to keep a clean sheet.
