Match Report

game Mid somerset

1st qtr = 0-2 -Loss

Not defending as unit

Pre-game warm up, was more postional awareness for the team and to understand how to create space and make the pitch bigger, we then went into the warm up which the boys were a little slow to get going which unfortunately went into the first 5 minutes of the game, going a goal down early unsettled the team but they kept to the game plan and were starting to create some good chances, but got hit on the break for the second goal.

2nd qtr - 2-0 - win

What a difference 20 minutes make, the boys went for it quick passing and moving with the ball and created so many chances excellent saves form their keeper and ours, Paulton could have had more goals but for their keeper. The boys played as a unit and that showed in this qtr.

1-0 Gwyther

2-0 Alex

3rd qtr = 0-2 - Loss

Complete change of players in different positions to maintain fairness of game time, that showed in this qtr, the talking and movement of the ball was slower and if not for will the score could have been a little worse for the boys,Will great saveM

issed Penalty by mid somer.

4th qtr -0-0

Back to the starting line up, the boys were fired up and wanted to play, the game started to open up for both teams, some great last ditch defending by Paulton, and we caused some issues on the counter attack, that final pass in the final third was all that was missing,

Sammy great save again and Toby and Charlie started to form a partnership right at the end.

All in all a local derby that was played the right way, Paulton areas to focus on more communication, final pass in the final third and shape -
