Match Report

BIC 5-0 Cheltenham Town

BIC were keen to get back playing after the Christmas break and a disapointing and rare defeat last time out. After a good weeks training BIC were definitely up for the game seizing the initiative from early on. Creating lots of attacks particularly in wide areas it took 17 minutes for the breakthrough when Bradley Selwood cut in from the left to curl a great strike into the top corner from 20 yards.

Cheltenham stayed compact and deep to minimise shots on goal but BIC scored twice in Q2 through Jake Hicks who tried his luck from distance with excellent strikes over the keeper.

Q3 was a period with very few clear cut chances at either end but some continued BIC pressure saw Jake Hicks break through the middle to round the goalie for his hatrick and making it 4-0 to the home side.

Q4 followed a similar pattern with the final goal for BIC coming in the last minute when a penalty was awarded and taken well by Jaheim Zion for 5-0.

Cheltenham were hard working opponents who contributed to a very good game which saw BIC in good form with a fine display to start 2020. We wish Cheltenham all the very best for the second half of the season.
