Match Report

match report kiddy v solihull

today we welcomed solihull to the centre of sporting excellence as what we anticipated another good challenege and test of the players development, commitment and continued hard work over the last several months together.

there was a great intensity throughout the whole of the game kiddy lads dealing comfortablly in defence with alot of  direct balls looking to get in behind for the solihull pacey forwards but the well organised and diciplined display limited chances to long distance and scrappy efforts.

there was some neat link up play in the first 20 minutes from the kiddy lads who looked to move the ball around well but again struggled with the final bit of quality in front of goal

some fantstic work rate throughout from both sets of players and come the final period the kiddy lads were running out of steam due to lack of rotation of players due too illness on the day, some tired legs allowed a miss placed back pass which allowed a clear opportunity in a 1v 1 situation for the solihull forward to get the first goal of the game but his mis placed shot gave the GK opportunity to save comfortably and steer the ball wide for a corner.

a very good game of development football for all players to be involved

good honest displays from all players
