This continued up until the 8th minute which Torquay found their feet and started to get a good run of possession, not allowing paulton to get a look in for the rest of the quarter. Torquay where unlucky not to take the lead on a couple of occasions forcing superb saves from the paulton keeper but at the end of the quarter the score remained 0-0.

After a needed break paulton again settled and started to play with the ball at their feet, this confidence created a quarter which became a end to end battle between the teams. With the counter attack in full force this was a opportunity for both paulton and Torquay to showcase their defencsive organisation in which both teams delivered brilliantly. Both keepers also came in to action again is this quarter pulling off tremendous saves. Paulton again looked to play wide through this quarter to create gaps in the centre of the pitch which allowed for the paulton centre midfielder to exploit on two occasions puting paulton 2-0 up at the end of the quarter.

With Torquay 2-0 down they came out flying in to the third quarter in a hunt to get back in to the game. Their efforts and confidence with the ball paid off quickly in to the quarter with a brilliant play leading to the first goal of the quarter making it 2-1. With the pressure mounting on paulton they Looked to respond quickly by creating some chances of there own. In the 50th minute paulton worked a opportunity in to the box leading to a collision between keeper and striker who both bravely went for a Ariel ball the collision left both players on the floor with the referee feeling it was a penalty to paulton. The paulton CM stepped up to convert the penalty sealing the hattrick. With what seemed to be the goal which allowed paulton to pull away Torquay didn't give up with a quick counter attack beating the keeper and bringing the score to 3-2. The game again was in the balance with both teams fighting to take control showing passion desire and talent. Fourth quarter

With the game tied at the start of the fourth both teams stepped on to the pitch with a fire which had not been seen in the other three quarters. The players immediately went from kick off in hunt of a winning goal. Both teams had limited clear opportunities in the final quarter as both sets of players stepped up their physical game to gain control in the midfield third but neither team could get the edge on their opponent. With the game in the balance it had created a top watch for all in attendance. With 7 minutes to go paulton appeared to win a corner which the referee gave as a Goal kick but in a superb form of sportsmanship a Torquay defender realised the advantage paulton has lost from the error and approached the referee to explain the ball indeed should of been a corner, the referee overturned his decision to which the player in question should be extremely proud of his sportsmanship and honesty. The corner it self howeve amounted to nothing and Torquay looked to counter quick. With 5 minutes to go paulton found a gap with a darting  run from the wing sneaking the ball in to the far bottom corner. The last 5 minutes became a defence against attack experience with Torquay keeping paulton pinned in to there own half in search of a equaliser.
