Match Report

JP Pro v Global U12

It all came down to this game, whoever won out of JPPro or Global, would be crowned league champions and progress to the next stage of the competition. The JPPro boys were well prepared and ready to face the challenge. A culmination of all their hard work over previous weeks.

The JPPro boys made an excellent start to the game, shifting the ball in a purposeful manner and always looking to play forward. After a goalless first quarter, JPPro scored after 23 minutes from a corner. However, Global responded with a goal of their own making it 1-1 at the half-time break. It needed something special to break the deadlock and Riley provided it, with a fantastic long distance strike.

This looked to be the winner until an unbelievable strike from one of Global's best players with 10 minutes to go. Global struck again 2 minutes later from a 'mystery' player who appeared very late to the match. Despite JPPro's efforts, Global won the both the game and the league.

A tremendous effort from the JPPro boys, in a game that highlighted what the JPL should be all about as regards the quality of football played.
