The Junior Premier League was started in England, and is now the largest league in England, with expansion across multiple countries.
In 2021 we started to look for an opportunity to expand into the USA and create a player development-focused league, driving innovation and ensuring every player has a premier experience.
We partnered with US Club Soccer to expand the NPL offering to the Mountain West Region encompassing Las Vegas, Utah, Colorado, Idaho, Wyoming, South Dakota, and Montana so allowing competitive clubs in the region to compete in a league that had a true post season offering, offering a direct pathway for bracket winners to compete in US Club Soccer’s NPL Finals held annually every July In Denver Colorado, where winners of the each NPL across the US compete for national champions.
The JPL Mountain West NPL started its first season with just over 100 teams from across the region, to 160+ going into the 25/26 season. 3 of the 12 teams sent to 24/25 NPL Finals made it to the final game with Black Hills Rapids U19G being crowned champions.
We anticipate the team numbers to grow as we adapt and adjust our offering to best suit our member clubs for years to come.
