Winter Cup & Shield Finals Day (U8-U12)

We want to take this opportunity to provide a full run down on rules and schedule prior to Saturday. 

 

The finals are split over 2 venues depending on age group, please take some time to read the below information and share with members from your club. 

U8s – U10s Finals
Goals Black Country, Darlaston Ln, Willenhall, Bilston WV14 7BLU8 Cup & Shield @ 10.30am
2 x 25 mins halvesU9 Cup & Shield @ 10.00am, 10.40am, 11.20am
2 games per side, 2 x 14 mins halves (3 teams per comp)

U10 Cup & Shield @ 12.15pm, 12.50pm, 1.25pm
2 x 12 mins halves (4 teams per comp)

All matches are to be played over 2 x 18 mins periods

 

 

1. All players must be wearing full club kit in order to play in the match – no exceptions will be allowed
2. All coaches must be wearing club apparel – no jeans or other club kit will be allowed
3. All teams must show a team sheet on the day and all players participating must have played in a previous round of the competition – the WGS validation cards must be available for inspection either in paper or electronically
4. All teams must have a first aid kit 
5. All matches are on 3G so appropriate footwear must be worn by coaches and players 
6. All teams must bring a change of shirt or bibs to use in the event of a kit clash (the second named team must change)
7. All teams can name up to 7 substitutes – but please be aware that all players must play at least 50% of the games
8. All matches will have referees – their decision is final 
9. Parents to stand in marked areas only 
10. It’s important we create the right environment for our young players so the code of conduct will be enforced with a zero tolerance policy (attached to this email – please distribute to all attending the finals).
11. Please do not arrive more than 40 minutes before kick off times as access to pitches will be limited
12. There will be no changing rooms in use at either venue on the day due to COVID restrictions – please arrive changed
13. Games in groups 3 point for a win, one point for a draw, goal difference will decide groups if even points. 
14. For U8 competition, no extra time will be played, straight to penalties if a draw at full-time.
